Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about book series…

Do you prefer to read stand-alone books, or books in series? Do you stick with a series the whole way through or stop after the first instalment? Are there any particular series you enjoy?(question courtesy of Elena)

I love both.. to me, stand-alone and series are two different catagories by themselves, so i cant compare the two.. lately though, i've been reading a lot of series rather than stand-alones.. and when it comes to series, once i start on one book, i just have to find the rest.. but this of course, will depends on the availablity of the books, waiting for the next one can be a pain :( .. but a good one..

Some of the series that i've enjoyed (that i can think of, right now):-
  • Harry Potter (and re-reading them all the time)
  • Twillight saga
  • The Chronicles of Narnia
  • The Three Sister's Island and other Nora Roberts trilogies
  • Vampire Academy (still waiting for the next book)
  • House of Night
  • The Gatekeeper Series by Anthony Horowitz
  • The mediator by Meg Cabot (have not managed to get hold of the series yet, only reading at random now :p )
  • Sabriel series by Garth Nix
  • Dragonlance Chronicles

It is hard to wait for the next installment in your favorite series! Good thing for stand alone books. LOL
