Just my 2 cents worth on the just-finished AJL26:

- totally did not get the "wanita seluruh dunia" & "gadis semasa". It was a bit mumbly & cant quite catch their lyrics for most part.
- somehow "kekanda adinda" didnt have the same kick as it usually does. Sound problems maybe? Same goes to lagu "kalau berpacaran", suhaimi & altimet did good, ana was a lil off.
- faizal tahir didnt rock it like usual either. And the gimic was getting a lil old.
- 3 suara, although was good, i also think they didnt push it to become great. Well, at least to my tone deaf ears, i thought they could have done better. But yeah, vocally they were outstanding. Still, jac couldnt replace anuar zain. Nope.
- aizat & of coz hafiz was amazing. No doubt about it.
- alyah too.
- najwa latif was so cool & delivered her song without a hitch. Good for her :)
- less gimic, more simple performance based on vocals. Not even gaggles of dancers to fill up the stage. I so like this concept!

Overall, the lot tonite consist of a lot of self composers (aizat, yuna, najwalatiff, pistol, monoloque, ana/suhaimi/altimet) and the girls all guitar-player (yuna, najwa, ana raffali). Seems like a pretty interesting future.

But i do think its a shame that they got rid of the irama malaysia sections. Yeah, not that many listen to them, & chances to win are almost none. But should not kick them aside either. You'd lose a big chuck of local culture that way..

I re-watched Mamma Mia over the weekend (& that movie is so watch-able over & over again.. hehe) and i still dont get why the bride & groom didnt just get it done with.. they were going to travel the world together anyway.. duh..

Saw it on MTV the other day & it kinda got stuck in my mind..

I remembered how hard it was.. Seeing someone, who had had history with you, who at one point meant something to you.. "walking down the aisle" (well, the term doesnt apply in a Malay wedding, but you get what i mean, right..) with someone else.. Even if you no longer have feelings for the person.. It's hard.

I managed to catch the Sunrise action with Mdm KS. Really loved the last act - the violinist & the sax.. man, it was good..! those guys are really talented..

I picked up this song from a cd i bought in France during the milleninum new year. We were on our way back from our day trip to Geneva, Switzerland to my senior's friend's place. My senior, she wanted to buy some French songs to remember our trip there. So we stopped by this mall we found & since both of us knows next to nothing about french musics, we just grabbed a cd each. Somehow, she ended up with a french artist's english album instead.. hehe.. poor her..

I on the other hand, bought a compilation album, with some familiar english songs mixed with french ones.. When i heard this song, i was totally hooked.. wished i could watch the actual Notre Dame de Paris musical.. (yeah, right... i can barely afford to watch any theater here.. let alone go to Paris to watch one..)..

p/s: can you believe that Garou (the first singer) played Quasimodo? he is soo good looking & that voice.. need i say more?

Fuh.. what a weekend.. the wedding, thru all the chaos & setbacks, was lovely nonetheless.. not that they'd ever read this, but congrats anyway to the newlyweds.. Hmm.. i wouldnt know abt whether bridesmaids will be next in line for marriage or delay it, but this was the first time i became so.. "laku".. i'm speechless.. hahah.. if only i am this popular amongst the people i'm with..

and a few of them even recognised me from my brief encounter with the modelling world.. erk, even i never saw myself on tv.. haha, dont know how they could have recognised me, i barely looked like myself in the pics.. hmm, the good old days..

and it stops me from thinking that it could have been my wedding with that someone this weekend, instead he 'walked down the aisle' with someone else.. whoops, wasnt supposed to think abt that at all.. My mum told me this a few days ago after listening to a ceramah agama: As bad as things were, Allah has always replaced everything he took with something better, even if we dont see/understand it that way. All we need to do is to accept His tests with "redha". Remember Him always & recite the Quran when you are troubled. Things happened for a reason. He has & always will provide the best to us, when the time is right. Even if that means that i am meant to be alone, so be it.

Used to be, i thot that depression is something rare.. someone who's weak minded, lack of faith etc.. but over the years i have realised that ppl around me are facing depression.. and there's nothing wrong with these ppl.. although i still think that faith plays an important role here, it is still a disease...

i dont want to claim that i'm stronger than most ppl or anything like that.. but Allah loves me & had helped me thru the rough times.. there were times when i though i couldnt go on, but Alhamdullilah, i managed to keep my head above water long enough still i could stand back on my own.. and yes, it wasnt easy.. if wasnt for my parents.. my best friends.. i might not have made it thru.. my heart still have the holes there, but i won't let u see it..
