Since my computer had crashed, boom, bang on me last week.. it's been a quiet week indeed.. i may be a close-but-not-quite an internet-junkie, but i do still get that feeling of out-of-touch-ness.. :(
Good thing for me i've got new supplies of books to keep me entertained.. I dropped by the Pesta Buku Selangor on my way to the computer store. Managed to get hold of a couple of interesting books. However, didn't manage to get the book my mum was looking for - Mengenal Tuhan by Bey Ariffin. Seems that since it's an old book, it's not quite that easy to get hold of.
I also managed to catch the new Harry Porter movie over the weekend.. (btw, i'm giving you the spoiler alert, so better stop here if you don't want to know)..
overall-wise, the movie was not bad.. didn't follow the book much but still it works. However, a few items which as a Harry Porter fan, i just don't agree with. My major complain would be about the ending.. why cant they show Dumbledore's funeral? just a scene with Harry, Hermione and Ron? and where's Ginny in that conversation? It doesn't have the same impact as that grand funeral, attended by all the big names in the wizarding community. And i was also disappointed that they didn't show the war between the DAs and the Death Eater at Hogwarts, instead just a show-down between Dumbledore & Malfoy/Snape.. plus, in the book, Harry was body-binded by Dumbledore & stuck under his invisibility cloak which explains a lot as to why he could not help Dumbledore, unlike the movie where he was in hiding.. sigh... and that my friend, just what made the movie only a could-have-been-great instead of a great one..
