Kesian my friend sorang ni.. 2 weeks ago her parents was supposed to fly for umrah, but got stuck due to visa problem.. also she had a hell of a week, being ill but cant take leave coz trying to tie up her work before she go for the study leave (last week) for an exam that was due last saturday.. not to mention preparing for her wedding in june..
aleh2.. i guess everything was taking it's toll on her.. she had some major headache & found a lump (ie bengkak) on top of her head (plus i guess her fever wasnt better since she first had it).. so masuk la hospital.. doc says that the lump was nothing to concern about, but they want to check her sinusitis.. eh, pulak?.. she also didnt know she has any sinus problems, a minor one maybe, but no real sinus problem.. anyway, she's been in hospital pantai indah since last thursday & going for the operation this morning..
went to see her yesterday.. and i didnt even know where is this hospital pantai indah.. ;p nasib baik ler jumpa.. hehe.. her parents & siblings was there, as well a bunch of relative on their way out.. good thing that her parents are here instead of in Mekah too.. ada hikmah rupanya diorg tak dapat pergi..
oh ya, the exam will have to be postponed to september instead..

Auww.. my ex-colleagues called me up just now (well, rather one of them wanted to ask me abt some workings, while the other just wanted to hi).. she was telling me abt how much they missed me & how the place now feels slightly emptier without me.. (or rather how i'm no longer there to bug her really.. hehe.. i used to ask her all sorts of questions coz she's pretty senior over there..) and now that another of my ex-colleague is also leaving to join me here, she was pretty much devastated.. poor lady.. ;p
and no, i did not 'pujuk' my friend tuh to follow me regardless what some might think... although i guess she finally decided to accept after she found out that i accepted the offer. But it will be good for her as she'd get a chance to become a manager here... & i get a buddy to learn the ropes here together.. :)
Overall, have not gone full swing on the work yet.. still helping out here & there, rather than starting on my actual job.. so can't comment much on that.. of course, the nature of this job requires me to go back to basics.. erk, left those for so long, can barely remember them.. hehe..
the only other thing that bothers me (& just abt every other person who drives) abt here is the parking.. at the moment, i'm coming in pretty early & going back, i guess you can call it normal hours.. hehe.. this means, my sleeping & mealtime is totally screwed up .. i'd be having breakfast wayy early, then lunch at 12 (before lunch hour was 12.30, which i dont always go on time anyway..).. so then i'd get so darn sleepy & hungrier in between meal times.. aiyo, how la to conform to my diet like this..? and i so need to, esp since in may timeframe, got lots of kenduris to go to :(

Last quarter, the ex-boss gave our team a set of voucher each to dine at any of the restaurants in KL Hilton. I have been putting it off long enough & decided to use it before it expires next month.. One of the guys tried the Sudu Restaurant, but he wasnt too impressed by it. Guess he thought that for such value, the food could have been better. But a posh places like this, you're usually paying more for the ambiance/name/etc rather than the food.. right?
Someone suggested that i try either the Chinese or Japanese Restaurant.. Luckily both me & my date had a preference for japanese food for now & decided to go for the Jampagne buffet at Iketeru Restaurant last weekend.
The buffet was from 12-2.30pm for abt RM98++/pax (drinks not included). there's abt 100 dishes to pick from.. and you can order & repeat order as many as u like, max of 5 dish at a time.. within the hour given of course.. there's so many that we wanted to try.. hehe.. besides 2++ hrs was not long enough for a buffet spread.. especially with the both of us chatting non-stop through out the meal.. hehe.. the restaurant itself was quite impressive.. nice ambiance, cosy layout, attentive service and the food's pretty good.. hehe.. my date was totally in love their wasabi, apparently it has more 'kick' than most places he's been to..
overall verdict, i wouldnt mind doing it again.. good food, great place, cool company.. :)
