It's my birthday today!! ^_^

What a change from last year.
Change of status from single to married.
Change of living arrangements from living alone to having a permanent housemate.
Having to entertain 2 sets of families now.
Having to spend raya away from my own family.
Having to be the big sister, as compared to having only cousins.

But all on a positive side, although making  some of these changes are slightly on the arkward, mainly me coz I'm not used to being with new people. Kinda.

The first half of the year was pretty much spend having kenduri. My wedding up north was in Feb. Then we flew to Kuching for my brother-in-law's wedding in Mar. Then my husband's side of the wedding in May, followed by his brother's wedding at my mother-in-law's place.

Surprisingly i managed to keep up at work. Considering that i was flying solo (after my staff resigned on short notice) since november last year until my new staffs joined in Mar. I had to do month end closing, 2014 year end, annual report & forecast at the same time. By the time feb rolled around i thot i was going to collapse already. Fuh. But boss agreed to add another staff in my team so i had 2 new joiners, including a new boss added on in Jul. But with the change of FD & MD, that extra breathing space I'd thought we'd have with a bigger team, went straight down the drain. Aiyoh... we were working like headless chicken for the past few months & have yet to change still :(. Let see what they have in plan for us in the coming months, but not exactly (that i can see) working in our favor 😭...

Oh well...it's just a job right? So am working to balance my life a bit more, so that i can have more family time. So am gonna let the office chaos just slide over my head & close my eyes. At least that's the plan. 😕😕.

Here's to an exciting new year ahead. More changes & more fun. New motto for the year would be to do more of what makes me happy. So let's begin..😉

Dec 30, 2014

Happy happy birthday to me. Definitely a year of firsts for me:
- first time in a serious relationship
- first time receiving a birthday bouquet
- first time having to do couple stuffs
- my engagement & my wedding preparations
- and a lot more.. ^_^

Dec 23, 2014

During our birthday lunch earlier (since both my colleagues are also December babies), my friend asked what am i asking from my fiance for my birthday and also what do i want for my wedding present.
It got me thinking coz firstly i dont normally or know how to "ask" for things from other people. The other was i haven't got any particular "itch" for something at the moment. The last few "toys" that i had in mind, and which i managed to grab was my kenwood mixer & the water dispenser that i was looking for. Plus of course i already succumbed & gotten myself a pink Samsung note 3. 😁
So my current wishlist at the moment are kinda static. Got a few items but it's kinda out of my budget so it'll have to stay in the wishlist for an indefinite period. Ahaks. For example that Michael Kors or a Kate Spade handbag. Or that trip to New Zealand or Japan or Greece. Or even that dream honeymoon villa with personal pool kinda place. 😧.
My fiance did buy me a gorgeous smelling valentino perfume, a sweet leather handbag (although it's no Michael Kors 😜), and i am getting a one-of-a-kind wedding ring, personally designed by my mum's friend. Plus my dream off-white songket for my solemnisation 😍 although my wedding dress is probably not my first choice but it was provided by my uncle 😐.
I'd have to say that i did managed to get a lot of my wish came true, some better than even i even dream of, for my wedding although not everything of course. Alhamdullilah. 😁
Anyway i would love to at least one time to receive a delivered bouquet of flowers and/or supersized teddy bear for my birthday just coz. Although i dont really know what I'd do with flowers nor do i need another teddy but it's just something on my bucket list. Heheh..😉

💖SEMUA WAJIB TAU💖
"Kalau isteri sakitkan hati suami, tandanya derhaka pada suami.

Tapi bagaimana jika suami sakiti hati isteri?"

Jawapan Ustaz :
"BERDOSA jugalah.
Cuma tidak ada istilah suami derhaka pada isteri,
tapi suami akan ditanda Malaikat sebagai derhaka pada Allah SWT.

Kerana isteri, rezekimu bertambah.
Kerana isteri, maka lahirlah zuriatmu.
Kerana isteri, makan, pakai mu dijaga.
Kerana isteri, tenang hati mu.
Kerana isteri, lembut pandangan mata mu.
Kerana isteri adalah satunya manusia yang boleh melihat cacat cela mu yang tersembunyi dari pandangan mata mu dan masih menerima mu seadanya.

Janganlah sakiti hati mereka, ingatlah setiap pengorbanan mereka,

renungan sepintas lalu. Mengapa WANITA sering menangis?
Jawab Allah :
Kerana WANITA itu unik.
Aku ciptakan ia sebagai makhluk istimewa.
KU kuatkan bahunya utk menjaga anak2nya,
KU lembutkan hatinya utk memberi rasa aman,
KU kuatkan rahimnya utk menyimpan benih manusia,
KU teguhkan peribadinya utk terus berjuang saat yg lain
menyerah,
KU beri dia naluri utk tetap menyayangi, walau dikhianati oleh teman,
walau disakiti oleh orang yg disayangi.
WANITA makhluk kuat.
Tapi jika suatu saat dia menangis itu kerana KU beri air mata utk membasuh luka batin & memberi kekuatan baru.
WANITA sangatlah istimewa......

Kirimkan kpd WANITA yg kamu sayangi......

Kirimkan juga kpd lelaki agar mereka menghargai WANITA dan agar tau bahawa WANITA.....ciptaan Allah yg istimewa........

I'm feeling so restless lately. Been playing with my new toy aka the kenwood kmix mixer last weekend so the excitement has cool off somewhat. Hehe.

But I'm thinking of......
doing something.
See something new.
Explore.
Get lost.

Maybe I need a holiday.
Away from day to day life.

Thet say if your wish are written down, it has a higher chance of coming true. So here's my list, in no particular order:

- i want to travel
~ to somewhere. To anywhere.
~ some of the places that i want to go are (umrah is always in the list of course) japan, new zealand, dubai, morocco, greece. I dont mind revisiting seoul, london, paris or italy again either.
~ i want to go to theme parks, disneyland in particular. Universal studio & legolamd & hello kitty land works too.

- i want a job that i love. That i'm excited about. Anything that doesnt involve copa or recon work would be a bonus. Hehe.

- i want a new phone. A pink phone.
~ am still waiting for the pink note 3 but it has yet to make an appearance. :( maybe around valentines day. I hope.

- i want to go white water rafting, at least once.

- i want to bake & decorate the perfect cupcake. And cake. Also make the perfect croissant.

- i want to achieve my ideal weight. So far, still unsuccessful but i'll get there somehow.

- i want a swing in the house. Or porch, if i have one. And not the standard iron swing.

Well.. That's what has crossed my mind so far. Will add on as & when i think of more.

My Personality Type: The Analytical Thinker

Interestingly spot-on..
I love the thinking & tinkering part of a job, but implementation are not really my strong suit. I can put in a process but someone needs to take over from there to run it on day-to-day basis.

And i work better alone too. Not that i dont work well with others coz i think i do but i dont do the hand-holding part very well, and i tend to be a bit more chaotic in thinking which i know others cant always follow.

I also cant do very well in a rigid environment (accounting is not exactly the best choice i know), where i have to follow strict procedure etc. Hence my frustration when it comes to doing recon work & such.. But happy enough to be tinkering over my budget file to run various scenrios.. Go figure.

I also have not reached the level of thought process like my bosses, where they managed to merge both financial & business acumen together.. Which makes me hesitate a bit to accept this new job offer that i got.. Coz i'm not sure how capable am i to handle such a job. I'm still struggling with my current job & i know there's still a lot of scope of my job which i havent even taken up yet. And i've never done any work at strategic level before, still working on managing for most part..

But the new job does mean i get to work on a smaller scale of business & hopefully not as complicated. Plus as a new business, i get to implement things the "right" way from start rather than cleaning up messes from an existing process.

Hmmm.. Should i?
